What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Public Information Officer 1 (Game Show Coordinator) include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the contestant coordination segment of the Cash Explosion Game Show’s public information program.
- Interacts with Cash Explosion Game Show contestants and handles pre-, post-, and in-studio activities of game show contestants.
- Notifies contestants of selection and provides information needed for participation in show.
- Interviews contestants to gather profile information to be used as game show content.
- Promotes an enthusiastic atmosphere on show set for contestants and audience.
- Conducts contestant and special promotion drawings.
- Monitors and improves audience and contestant experiences.
- Prepares and files contestant claim forms.
- Serves as a resource person for information on the positive public presentation of game show programs and activities.
- Attends and works at promotional events to promote game show to general public.
- Prepares game show information for inclusion in agency publications and website.
- Assists with game show planning and production, reviews show scripts for creative content to ensure the copy is engaging and promotes elements of show to which viewers can connect, reviews show tapes to make improvements for future.
- Loads game board and monitors it during game play and show taping.
- Writes, edits and updates official game show and promotional drawing procedures.
- Travels on a regular basis to attend game show tapings.
- May work some evenings or weekends. Requires travel and may travel overnight.
- Performs other duties and works on special projects.

Qualifications
30 months experience in field of journalism or communication dealing in public multi-media techniques & relations, public speaking, news writing, reporting & editing or technical report translation & communication dealing in public meetings; valid driver's license.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in journalism or communication; 6 months experience in public multi-media techniques & relations in field of journalism or communication; valid driver's license.
- Or 12 months experience as Public Information Specialist, 64420; valid driver's license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
