The primary purpose of this position is to work under the direction of the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive public information and communication program in strategic alignment with the Court’s mission; plan, organize, and maintain the internal and external communications of the Court; develop and maintain effective communication with media, community, and public relations sectors; manage marketing and internal/external outreach strategies, and coordinate special events.
This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Court’s presence on various social media platforms. This includes posting information, advertisements (employment, events), photos, and videos. Additional responsibilities include responding to inquiries and comments on social media platforms, attending and photographing events, and maintaining and enhancing the Court’s presence on appropriate social media platforms.
- Initiates and implements integrated strategies, plans, and programs designed to ensure that all communication and public relations efforts are cohesive, consistent, and effective in supporting the mission and strategic plan of the Court.

Plans, develops, and coordinates comprehensive communication programs, including media, public affairs, and publications, in close collaboration with other Court communications and/or public relations activities.

Provides planning and implementation for quality productions of public events and communications for the Court.

Coordinates surveys, evaluations, and assessments of communications activities to determine the effectiveness of the organization's communications plans.

Assures quality and appropriateness of Court communication programs and initiatives, whether internally or externally produced.

Provides quotes and background information to assist with the creation of a concise and productive message for the media.

Designs, prepares layout, writes, proofreads, edits, and submits materials.

Conducts research and gathers information.

Represents the Court to the media and/or the public, deferring to the Assigned or Administrative Judge for any case specific representation.

Creates and publishes press releases, marketing materials newsletters, public announcements, and other correspondence and informational material.

Responds to media inquiries and requests for information/documents in a timely and appropriate manner.

Collaborates with legal representation to respond to requests for information.

Networks with other media professionals.

Manages and maintains the Public Records Request log.

Creates, monitors, and maintains social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Publishes relevant material and graphics on the applicable social media platform.

Assists with the content development and maintenance of the Court’s website.

Assists with the compilation of data and report requests.

Serves as a liaison in various meetings related to assignments.

Serves as a producer and scriptwriter for recorded videos.

Coordinates special events.

Monitors media hits.

Performs other related duties as required.
